Assistance League of Boise
This grant funds ALB’s signature program, Operation School Bell. Program provides new clothing, shoes, and personal care items to meet the most basic needs of low-income, at-risk K-6 elementary school children, as identified by school counselors. It also funds the Teen Retail program for at-risk middle and junior high school students, with a budget to shop for school clothing at a local store with help from volunteers.
Big Brothers Big Sisters
Funds provide for school and community-based mentoring relationships in Ada County.
Boise Rescue Mission-City Light Home for Women and Children
Supports City Light’s Emergency Services program providing for basic physical needs, the New Life program addressing the root causes of homelessness, the Transitional Housing program providing affordable housing and case management, the female Veteran’s Ministries program providing housing and counseling, and the Children’s Program designed to break the cycle of poverty and homelessness through education.
Boise Rescue Mission-Valley Women’s and Children’s Shelter
Provides for emergency shelter, meals, recovery programs, child academic development programs and child care for those fleeing situations of domestic violence or those who are homeless in Ada and Canyon counties.
Boise State University Scholarships
Provides for 22 nursing and seven radiological science scholarships for the 2019-20 academic school year.
Boise State University-William E. Morris Memorial Scholarship Endowment
Provides funds to start a William E. Morris endowed accounting scholarship at Boise State University.
Boys and Girls Club of Ada County
Grant provides free breakfast and snacks to low-income children at clubs in Garden City, Meridian, Kuna and at two elementary school-based programs in Boise. It also provides the primary sponsorship for a comprehensive sports program that allows 1,700 club kids in Garden City and Meridian to participate in local youth sports leagues.
Boys and Girls Club of Nampa
Funding helps replace and renovate games and equipment, and funds most of the costs for a full-time sports program, plus uniforms and equipment.
Children's Free Dental Clinic (Miles of Smiles)
Purchases preventative dental supplies and restorative supplies, wellness kits (toothbrushes, toothpaste, floss, education materials), and state-of-the-art restorative material to prevent dental caries, and sealant material to prevent cavities.
College of Western Idaho Scholarships
Provides 35 full-tuition scholarships to second-year students in select degree programs in Career and Technical Education.
Foundation for Idaho History
Funds provide need-based travel scholarships for National History Day competition at the University of Maryland annually, and five bus-loads of students for state competition attendees at the College of Idaho in Caldwell.
Genesis Community Health
Grant provides for the purchase of medical and diabetic supplies, staff training programs and marketing, a dental software subscription, equipment and furniture. It also provides coordinator support for nurses and a medical assistance program.
Good Samaritan Home
Funds renovation of 45 guest rooms at the Home, including new flooring, paint, ADA-compliant toilets, vanities and sinks, upgraded closet space, new bed frames and new lighting in each room for residents.
Idaho Diabetes Youth Programs-Camp Hodia
Funds the Teen Self-Reliance Program, helping diabetic teen-aged campers learn new skills and to encourage them to raise some of the funding toward their camp experience. Provides 10 camperships for the Ski Camp program, and funds the Shooting Stars day camp in Meridian for children ages 3-10.
Idaho Hemophilia Foundation
Funds campers, their families and caregivers at Camp Red Sunrise, a camp for children with bleeding disorders. Camp teaches them how to self-infuse factor, while living active lifestyles and be more self-sufficient.
Funding covers emergency shelter costs, operating costs and case management to move clients to life beyond the shelter.
Jayden DeLuca Foundation
Expands their Heart Hero program from one to three events annually, bringing together families of children experiencing heart conditions for mutual engagement by attending special events together.
Meridian Food Bank
Funding will purchase a new walk-in freezer.
Muscular Dystrophy Association
Provides 50 MDA clients aged 6-17 who have neuromuscular disease and volunteers the ability to attend summer camp in McCall for a week in August.
PATHS (Bishop Kelly HS)
Provides funds for this student organization to help homeless students at other schools. PATHS buys these students back-to-school clothing, shoes and equipment, takes them on experiential field trips and provides volunteer homework support, encouraging these students to stay in school and assimilate at their schools.
Salvation Army of Ada County
Provides a safety net for vulnerable people by funding the Food Pantry, providing for a Back-to-School program including backpacks and school supplies, Salvation Army’s Dress A Child program, clothing 450 low income children through area stores, and their Bridges Out of Poverty education program, which teaches life skills to break the cycle of generational poverty.
Society of St. Vincent de Paul-Holy Apostles Conference
Funding helps trained volunteers provide food, clothing, and pay emergency bills for those in need. Grant also provides Christmas gifts for Trinity House residents.
The Mentoring Network
Provides half the funding needed for 66 mentoring matches in an adult-to-youth mentoring program in the Caldwell, Homedale, Parma, Nampa and Vallivue school districts.
Warhawk Air Museum
Funds museum education programs through the sponsorship of a Field Trip Fund for low-income students, as well as major museum revenue-generating events, including the Warbird Roundup and Veterans Breakfast.
Funds approximately 25 wishes for low-income adults who have been diagnosed with a terminal illness.
Women’s and Children’s Alliance
Funds help the WCA’s Victim Services Safe Shelter program by providing comprehensive services for 25 individuals over a two-month treatment period.
